With a light westerly wind and sunny skies we decided to take the opportunity to do the laundry and run the water maker before heading out for some stand up paddle boarding. We were having issues with the batteries getting low during the night so Mark spent some time disconnecting the batteries and checking each battery’s voltage to make sure there was not a faulty battery. No issues could be found so he concluded that the continuous use of the windless and chart plotter for anchor watch over the previous few days at Deal Island were the cause. We’ll just need to keep an eye on what devices are turned on over night (especially when there’s no wind for the wind generator) to ensure the battery bank doesn’t get drained too low.
Later that day Mark and Georgie caught 2 squid (using Georgie’s lucky rod) which we had for dinner.
