Friday 29th January 2021 – Quarantine, Bay Bruny Island

It was an overcast day with a 15-20 knot NE winds forecast. Quarantine Bay is providing good shelter which means a good night’s sleep.

We took it easy today with Georgie completing her schoolwork in the morning and posting her first blog entry. During the afternoon we took Lucy for a walk along the rocky beach which is home to many oysters.

Many have asked how we are coping being together 24/7 on the boat. To be honest, it only took us a few days to adapt, communication being especially important. Lucy is great at communicating, whenever she sees the beach, a fish being caught or the dingy being launched she gets excited and lets us know with her equivalent of talking, short soft howls.
