Thursday 21st January 2021 – Lime Bay – Elizabeth Street Pier, Hobart

At 0900 we departed Lime Bay for Hobart. We had an easterly of less than 10 knots so motor sailed to Hobart. Although there was no wind there was still a southerly swell of 1.5-2 metres rolling across Storm Bay.

We arrived at Elizabeth Pier at 1330. Not long after we arrived, we were greeted by a friendly local who advised us about the best places to get fish & chips, have a meal, closest supermarket and local sights to see. After putting out the fender boards and packing away the SUPS we went for a walk around town. Hobart is a lovely city – more like a big country town. It was a shock to be back around so many people and activity after being by ourselves for the best part of a month.
