Sunday afternoon we had the pleasure of meeting Andrew, Sam, Tilly and Max who had just arrived at Kettering from Hobart. The sailing family were originally from Sydney. Tilly is the same age as Georgie and the girls became instant friends. Both girls were so pleased to meet another girl that they could hang out with.
Our shopping arrived at 0930 Monday morning, two hours later after packing everything away and filling the water tanks we were ready to depart Kettering. We motored across to Simpsons Bay to meet up with Tilly and her family for a BBQ dinner. After dinner, the girls presented a convincing case as to why they should have a double sleep over. Needless to say, we could not dispute their reasoning and Tilly was welcomed aboard Escapade for 2 nights while her mum, dad and brother went back to Kettering to get some maintenance completed on the motors of their catamaran EOS.
Whilst at Simpsons Bay we took a dinghy ride (approx. 2nm) across to the isthmus to explore Truganini Lookout and go for a short walk.
