The wind picked up from the south as forecast reaching 20-30 knots by mid-afternoon. We will stay anchored at Cooks Corner as it’s providing shelter from the swell.
A slow day today with Mark and I working on getting the blog up to date. When we don’t get a chance to exercise on-shore I have put together a number of exercises that we can do on the boat. At this stage I seem to be the only one doing them as Mark and Georgie enjoy making fun of my highly accurate (not) exercise posture.
Mark, Georgie and Lucy continued their fishing and were again catching Flathead within 5 minutes using soft plastic lures (thanks Azz).
We are trying to replace the amount of meat we purchase with fish that we catch and then incorporate a couple of days of vegetarian dinners. This will assist Georgie with her budgeting as our meat expenses will be reduced.
Georgie has a small garden aboard the boat which she looks after each day. All the plants are doing really well, which is surprising! In her garden pot she has:-
• Miniature snow peas
• Basil
• Parsley
• Seaside Daisys &
• Miniature Snap Dragons
Five days ago I mixed up a sour dough starter with the vision to bake our own sour dough bread, so each day I check on its progress lifting the container lid, the starter smells really bad, like dirty socks or gym gear. I remove half the starter, add more flour and warm water. It has started to double in size and has bubbles so we should be right to start baking bread.
We received fantastic news from home (Greg, Wes, Garry & Kim) to say that there had been no community infections passed on those that had COVID tests at Lakes Entrance, as a result of an infected visitor that passed through Lakes Entrance on the 29th & 29th December, we are keeping our fingers crossed that the negative results continue, take care all and stay safe.
Ha! Awesome!!! Thank you!!!!!
